a lecture by Miloš Štědroň
Musicologist and composer Miloš Štědroň will take us back to 1925 when the Czechoslovak premiere of Schönberg’s “Gurre-Lieder” took place in Brno with the participation of the composer. What this event meant for the Brno and Czechoslovak cultural world, what Vladimir Helfert, František Neumann, and Ludvík Kundera discussed backstage with the composer, and what Leoš Janáček thought of these most progressive musical and artistic efforts will all be revealed by the charismatic storyteller in his lecture.
