Erika, originally hailing from the family of Brno’s Chief Rabbi Baruch Placzek, delves into her mother’s history and shares a captivating story of parental love and sacrifice during the Holocaust. Through the use of letters written during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia, she uncovers the tragic fate of her grandparents, shedding light on their harrowing experiences. Following the screening, there will be a discussion with the director, Karen Kruger.
