lecture by Terezia Dubinová on Yom HaShoah
Even in the terrible times of war, there were people who helped Jews at the risk of their own lives. What are their still living and current stories? On the eve of Yom HaShoah, the annual Holocaust Remembrance Day, we are preparing a lecture by Hebraist and cultural scholar Terezie Dubin about the holders of the title Righteous Among the Nations, awarded by the State of Israel to people of non-Jewish descent who risked their lives to save Jews during World War II. The lecture will be followed by a screening of the documentary film The Power of Humanity - Nicholas Winton (2002, directed by Matěj Mináč).
