Did you know that there are also Czech girls living in Israel? One of them is called Shirel and she will tell us about how to bake challah and celebrate the Passover holiday but we will also go to the sea and to Jerusalem with her. Shirel sometimes calls her mommy mama and sometimes ima, her daddy papa or aba, depending on what language she is speaking. Come and meet her and the extraordinary country of Israel in this book and learn some Hebrew too!
Come and enjoy a quiet and creative Sunday morning! Together with the Brno branch of the Jewish Museum in Prague, we are preparing workshops regarding books of contemporary Jewish writers for children. But we won't just be reading. For each of the stories we are planning mainly art but also other creative activities.
The workshops are designed for children aged five and up accompanied by their parents; older children can do it on their own.
