The story of a happy return that arose from thousands of stories of irretrievably lost things and people. An original adaptation of the nearly century-old history of the Strach family from Brno, growing from the story of a book confiscated in Terezín, sleeping and rediscovered and returned to the family. Cornelia Strach's Machzor was part of a collection of 12,000 liturgical books confiscated from Jews in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The silent narration of the book about the fates of its owners, with its historical, involuntary, and tragic simplicity, deafens the world.
