Famous literary characters of Modche and Rézi in a short nude play by the puppet theatre age, using historical marionettes
The performance is a dramatization of a short story by the Czech Jewish author Vojtěch Rakous, who invented the rural Jewish couple, the Korefs. The humorous figures of the quarrelsome Rézi and the good-natured Modche used to be so popular they even made it to the silver screen in the silent film era. Prostějov’s puppet theatre Starost will bring them to life again with the help of rare historical marionettes.
