Laying of Stolpersteine for the Bloch and Ekstein Families

Currently, there are nearly 300 Stolpersteine (stumbling stones) in the streets of Brno, commemorating the last addresses of those who involuntarily embarked on a journey with no return. This year's festival will commence with the laying of additional stones to remember the tragic fates of the Bloch and Ekstein family members who perished during World War II.
At the end of the ceremony, a prominent descendant of the Bloch family, concert artist Vladislav Bláha, a professor at JAMU, who has won many awards in international competitions, will perform a short piece with his composition.
